Paul joined Waddell & Reed in 2013. He began on Wall Street in a non-registered capacity in 1980 for EF Hutton & Co. Through the years, he rose through the ranks and eventually entered management at one of Wall Street’s institutional securities lending departments. He has been licensed since 2012.
After EF Hutton was sold to Shearson Lehman in 1989, Paul went to work at Raymond James Financial Services. Paul eventually moved to Los Angeles and opened up California Securities Lending Services, Inc. in 1998.
While building California Securities Lending, Paul’s personal passion of volunteering at various school and children’s charities led him to establishing Amazing Memories Inc. in 2003, a nonprofit consulting and charity auction business.
Paul became a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2012. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley he realized that a smaller size firm would be better suited for his relationship and financial planning based philosophy. After diligently researching firms, Paul transitioned his practice to Waddell & Reed in February of 2013.
Paul maintains Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and the health, life, and variable contracts insurance licenses in CA. Dedicated to guiding people to work to pursue their financial goals through planning and disciplines of long term investments and risk management. Paul is working to grow his practice and he is passionate about the relationships he is able to develop as a Financial Advisor.
Paul has been happily married since 1995 with 4 children and lives in Calabasas with his wife and 2 younger children. Paul remains very active in various charitable causes and organizations. His personal passion remains assisting children and rescuing dogs through foster work. Paul is a Board Chair of New Directions for Youth. He also sits on the Board of the Woodland Hills Rotary and serves as Chair of the Youth Services Committee.
